Practising English in Second Life

17/10/2012

Dear Learners of English

Second Life is an online immersive  3D multi-user virtual environment in which language learners could participate to practise their language skills.

The aim of the following questionnaire is to explore learners’ experiences of using Second Life in improving their English language skills. This will help me to develop and improve my teaching in Second Life on the island of Koru. If you’ve practised English in Second Life – for free, or have participated in the Kiwi English Sessions, then you’d be an ideal candidate for this questionnaire.

The questionnaire will take 5-10 minutes to complete, and will be used in the current research project for the Graduate Diploma in IT, undertaken at NMIT. Please contact Dr Clare Atkins for any enquiries – clare.atkins[at]gmail.com

Thank you very much for your participation.

If you’re keen to participate in an interview in Second Life about your experience of practising English in Second Life, please contact me on kiwibelma[at]gmail.com

Thank you!
